Queen Máxima of the Netherlands full name is Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti and was born on17 May 1971. She is the wife of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. Máxima became queen of Netherland when her husband King Willem-Alexander was crowned.
The Queen represents the Royal Family and the Netherlands at official events and performs her duties of Dutch royal family well.
As King Willem-Alexander’s wife, Queen Máxima helps the king in fulfilling his tasks as the head of state. In addition to her formal tasks, the king gathers the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. She has a unifying, representative and inspiring role.
Queen Máxima fulfills her numerous social tasks both within the Netherlands and abroad. She is also a member of the State of Council.
